supporting students to be successful. PBIS was developed from
research in the fields of behavior theory and effective
instruction. PBIS supports all students through intervention

If Sequoia boys and girls have been Safe, Kind, and
Responsible we may have a guest appearance from a jolly
ol’ man in a red suit, so don’t forget your camera.
Beginning October 12, Sequoia will be taking donations for the
KCRA 3 Kids Can Food Drive. All food collected from Sequoia will
be donated to the Cordova Community Food Locker. Please have your
students bring canned and nonperishable food items to Sequoia
between October 12 – November 13.
This PSA includes California Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye,
former major league all-star fielder Greg Vaughn and UC Berkeley
student and past SCUSD Board of Education student member Arthur
Fong.
The Sequoia ASES program will continue this year, even during
Distance Learning. Please be on the look out for information
about how to join their Google Classroom and daily Zoom calls.
