Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
What is the PTA?
The Parent Teacher Association is all of us together: Parents, guardians, students, family members, neighbors, Sequoia staff, the principal, and the teachers. The nominal yearly dues provide you with membership in the California State PTA and adds to our local programs.
What does the PTA do?
Our main focus is providing enrichment for the students and parents, as well as, to provide support for the teachers and the office at Sequoia.
Here are some ways PTA enriches your child’s life:
- Fun, interesting, and informative assemblies
- Activities for the family to enjoy together: dances, movie nights, craft events
- Field trip support
- Providing a crossing guard
- Classroom supplies
I don’t have time to get involved
You can pick the level of involvement that meets your schedule and needs. It doesn’t take much to make a difference. Remember, every hour spent on a PTA activity, including attending PTA meetings, supports Sequoia.
